We are The Italian Wedding, a wedding planning company fully dedicated to creating and organising unforgettable weddings in Italy.
The story of The Italian Wedding began in 2017, with our own wedding, the start of a beautiful journey. The warmth, the atmosphere and the incredible wedding venue made us realise that we wanted other couples to experience that same magic.
Since 2020, we have been organising all kinds of weddings across Italy. From there, things really took off, and we have grown into one of the leading wedding planning companies specialising in Italian weddings. But it wasn’t just The Italian Wedding that grew our love for Italy grew with every wedding we planned. Today, we split our time between Italy and the Netherlands.
For you as a couple, this is the perfect combination. You can meet with us at our office in Enschede throughout the planning process, while visiting your wedding venue or meeting with our many trusted partners in Italy is just as easy.
It’s the perfect mix of Dutch practicality and Italian passion.
Our focus on Italy, combined with actually living there part of the year, means we can bring you the authentic Italian atmosphere, as well as the insider knowledge and hidden gems when it comes to venues and suppliers.
The Italian Wedding was founded by Dominique and Thomas.
We understand the wishes and expectations of both the bride and the groom. Since 2025, our team has grown with equally passionate colleagues, giving us a strong and experienced team capable of bringing every dream wedding to life.

A born-and-bred, down-to-earth girl from Twente who lost her heart to passionate and emotional Italy? Yes, it’s possible!
Together with my husband Thomas, we’ve become regulars among our friends and connections in Italy. We travel there whenever we can, and crossing the border always puts a smile on my face, it feels like coming home. The warmth, friendliness and hospitality of the Italians never get old.
I’m the driving force behind The Italian Wedding. Communicating with our couples, partners and Italian contacts is a big part of what I do and I absolutely love it! Creating the perfect wedding is what truly excites me. I bring emotion into every detail, making sure that all the elements come together to create a beautiful and complete experience.

From a young age, I’ve been enchanted by Italy. My parents were passionate Italy travellers, so my love for the country started early. To have our own love story culminate in a wedding in Italy felt like a dream come true.
A wedding in Italy is about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love: “This is who we are and what we love.” Being able to experience that together with your closest family and friends and seeing them fall in love with Italy too is something truly special.
It’s not just our wedding that brought us closer to Italy. Today, part of our lives takes place there as well, thanks to both The Italian Wedding and the wonderful friends we’ve made along the way.
In everyday life, I’m an entrepreneur. Drawing on my experience, I support Dominique behind the scenes with our processes and all the practical and strategic aspects of the business.

From the peaceful province of Zeeland to the always-buzzing city of Amsterdam — that contrast actually describes me perfectly. I love structure and a down-to-earth approach, but what truly makes me happiest are experiences and moments that stay with you long after they’re over. Creating a day where everything comes together and everyone is walking around with a smile? That’s where I get my buzzing energy.
What started with organising events quickly grew into a love for weddings. Because where else do everything come together so beautifully? Love, atmosphere, details and unforgettable experiences, all set against the most extraordinary and passionate backdrops.
On the wedding day itself, I’m the one who keeps an overview and makes sure everything runs smoothly, so you don’t have to think about a thing and can simply be fully present in the moment.
Being part of The Italian Wedding and playing a role in creating these unforgettable days still feels like a dream come true.
